Ruta de viaje - Trekking en Argentina y Chile


Day 1. Arrival in Buenos Aires.

Meeting at the International airport and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Hotel Elevage.. Rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 2 Fly Buenos Aires - El Calafate

The flight will take you over Patagonia towards the Andes mountain range. Arrival at El Calafate. Accommodation in Hosteria Kalken.

 

Day 3 Perito Moreno Glacier.

A long day will be spent in the gigantesque glaciers on the eastern side of the Southern Ice. You will be able to closely observe its steep walls and experience the thunder of its collapsing ice. You will also see one of the wonders of the world, the majestic Perito Moreno.

Day 4 Calafate - Torres del Paine

Ruta 40, Journey to Puerto Natales (Chile)

Leaving the Andes, on our journey we will enter the mythical highway Ruta 40, heading towards the Torres del Paine National Park.

We take them to Puerto Natales where a local guide will meet them to take them to Las Torres Hosteria, Then they’ll do a trekking to “El Chileno” shelter (2 hours) where they will spend the night and have dinner.

 

 

Day 5 Trekking - Tower´s look out.

Breakfast at the shelter. Trekking from the shelter to the Towers’ look out. They then will come back to the shelter (4 hours) just to continue with the trekking to “ Los Cuernos “ shelter ( 4 hours) where they ‘ll spend the night and have dinner.

 

Day 6 Trekking – French Glacier.

Breakfast at the shelter and trekking from this point to the Italian camp site. We’ll visit the French Valley and the French Glaciar for the day and after that, We’ll come back to the Italian camp site. We’ll spend the night in tents which will be provided by the guide as well as dinner and breakfast at the camp site. (7 hours)

 

Day 7 Trekking – Grey Glacier

Breakfast at the camp site and trekking from here to the “Grey” shelter (7 hours). In the way We’ll visit Grey glaciar’s look out. We spend the night at the shelter where we’ll have dinner.

 

 

Day 8 Trekking - Torres del Paine - Puerto Natales.

Breakfast at the shelter and trekking to Pehoe shelter ( 4 hours). Then, We’ll get through the Pehoe lake from the Grey shelter to the Pudeto shelter. Private transport to Puerto Natales.

Accommodation in Hostel.

 

Day 9 Puerto Natales - Calafate - El Chalten

Long journey travel to el chalten final destination. Upon arrival, transfer to EL PILAR Lodge, a beautiful 10 room hosteria, 15 km out of El Chalten. The location, in the middle of an exuberant beech forest, gives access to the most important trails such as to Mt. Fitz Roy. From the hosteria, you will enjoy magnificent vistas of the huge granite walls of the Mt Fitz Roy and some other important peaks.

 

 

Day 10 Trekking Mt Fitz Roy

Full day hike to Mt Fitz Roy base camp and Laguna de los Tres. After breakfast hike north towards Fitz Roy with spectacular views of the massif ahead. Sacred and venerated by local tehuelche groups and believed to be a volcano, they called it “Chalten” (exhaling fumes mountain). Further hike to Laguna de los Tres, at the base of Mt. Fitz Roy. Three glaciers drain into this greenish lagoon with majestic Mt. Fitz Roy towering above.This is the closest view of the granite wall of Mt. Fitz Roy and the peaks nearby. You can continue walking along the lake´s shore and look at the emerald green waters of laguna Sucia and its hanging glaciers.

Day 11 Trekking - Glaciar Torre

All day Trekking over the Torre Glacier and ice practices.This hike goes along Fitz Roy river valley up to where it begins, Torre Lake, always within the boundaries of the National Park.During this hike, there are many panoramic points that give good views of Mt.Solo, the Adela chain and the most impressive Mt. Torre.

Day 12 - Trekking - Piedra del Fraile

It stars on the road to Lago del Desierto, on the bridge over Eléctrico river, 17 Km. far from El Chaltén. The trail starts before crossing this bridge, and goes upstream to the W, at first a little far from its shore, then by it through a beautiful lenga´s wood. Will find a private camping site, where we´ll stay for the night in tent.

 

 

Day 13 - Trekking - Glaciar del Cuadrado

A good physical condition is needed since from the half of the travel is begun to pass on an earring of approximately 40 °. While we gain height begin to see the Glacier Marconi, Gorra Blanca and partof the Hielo Continental Sur. After leaving a few the vegetation over 1100 mts. It continues a path of stones of type brown up to the base of the Glaciar del Cuadrado, where they begin the last 400 m. On the Glacier. At the end of this tour one is in a rocky edge from where we have an exelente seen of the north pered of the Fiz Roy, Mermoz, Guillaumet, Pollone and the grand Cerro Torre and its chain. This crossed is extremely technical being necessary previous experience or theoretical practical course given by our guides the previous day Accommodation in Hosteria El Pilar.

Day 14 - Lago del Desierto

Transfer to Lago del Desierto and trekking to visit the Huemul Glacier and navigation in the lake.

Accommodation in Hosteria El Pilar.

Optional:
Trekking over the glacier whit beginner ice practices.

Day 15 - El Chalten - Calafate - Buenos Aires

Bus to El Calafate and transfer to the airport to fly back to Buenos Aires.

Accommodation in Hotel Elevage.

Day 16- Buenos Aires

Transfer to the International airport.
