Lanin Volcano

Volcán Lanín Lanin Volcano (3776) Discovered in 1782, with almost perfect conical shape. Its base is surrounded by lakes Paimun, Huechulafquen and Tromen. Its peak remains covered with snow and ice all year, visited by lovers of mountain climbing that comes to Patagonia only to increase.

Lanin National Park: All these lakes are part of the national park: Lolog Curruche Chico and Grande Epulafquen, Carilafquen, Paimun, Tromen and Huechulafquen. They protect 379,000 ha. of forest (beech, ñire, cohiue) is also raulí and pehuén.
San Martin de los Andes , Junin and Aluminé are the 3 populations from which you can explore the park.
