Southern Right Whale

Whale Watching:
Taking Provincial Route 2, toward the isthmus Carlos A., is entering the wildlife refuge and then get to Puerto Piramides , the only place in the whole peninsula from where the expeditions to the whale. The route is 97 km.
We walked into the deep, salty waters.
The Southern Right Whale can be seen from June to December, when approaching the shores of Golfo Nuevo to mate and give birth to their young.
There are also dolphins and porpoises throughout the year.
In order to avoid disturbance during the breeding season and reproduction of this gigantic cetacean, the province of Chubut, allows only the navigation on the Golfo Nuevo, and only tourist boats that have the authorization.
