The Spanish presence dates from 1545 with the arrival of Simon de Alcazaba Sotomayor. (First European presence in the province).
It's a cattle area par excellence, with high quality wool.

Excursions from Shrimp:
Cape Nature Reserve two bays: the path is reached by prov. No. 1. Traveling cliffs and watching the turquoise sea, you get to this reserve, with a small penguin, but very nice as it travels along a path close to seeing the penguins. But inside there is the sea lion sea lion with a hair. Guanacos are also on the way.
Remember not to get too close to penguins. Respect your environment.
