A gravel road is a dirt road covered with gravel (similar to the gravel, rock particles). Very common in rural areas of Argentina. In Patagonia , there are many gravel roads, the legendary Route 40 is gravel, but has a piece in the northern zone of asphalt.
For example, to travel by car Patagonia, a very practical thing is to check the status of the routes on this page: www.vialidad.gov.ar , or look at the pump the road conditions before leaving.
In addition to carrying some important indications of driving in Patagonia .
For example, some of these basic tips are:
A. - Always follow the trail marked on the road, insurance is firmer than the rest of the way.
2. - When off the road, not very strong pull the brake, do so slowly, carefully, to regain its footing again.
3. - When it rains in a dirt and sand, it should stay in the middle of the road, the highest in the vaulted, is the most compact.
4. - Must also be vigilant in these ways, in Argentina , sometimes missing some signals.
5. - Do not open the windows, are dirt roads, dust would enter the car. Also, sometimes the odd pebble jumps into the windshield.
6. - When someone later a vehicle ahead of you, you may fill out the dust from the road, and you can not visualize it, you should proceed with caution.
Another thing ... very important ... the most interesting places in Patagonia, is reached by gravel roads.
